Workspace and account settings menus

Manage your and your team's ClickUp experience using the settings in the account and Workspace menus. 

Depending on your user role, you'll have access to one or both menus.

If you're using ClickUp 3.0, the Workspace and account settings menus are in a new location and include different options.

Account and Workspace settings menus were formerly called avatar menus.

What you'll need

  • Everyone, including guests, has access to the account settings menu. 
  • Only owners and admins have access to the Workspace settings menu.

Using ClickUp 2.0

Account settings menu

The account settings menu includes links to settings for your ClickUp account. Changes you make to these settings apply to your account and will not impact other people in any Workspaces you've created or joined.

Click your account avatar to open the account settings menu.

The account settings menu includes:

Workspace settings menu

Workspace owners and admins have access to settings that apply to the entire Workspace.

To open the Workspace settings menu, Click your Workspace avatar.

The Workspace settings menu includes the following options. Some items are only available on specific ClickUp Plans.

Using ClickUp 3.0

If you're using ClickUp 3.0, the Workspace and account settings menus are in a new location and include different options.

Account settings menu

If you're using ClickUp 3.0, the account settings menu is located on the toolbar.

Click your account avatar.

The Account settings menu includes:

Workspace settings menu

If you're using ClickUp 3.0, the Workspace settings menu is located at the top of the Sidebar.

To open the Workspace Settings menu:

  • In the upper-left corner, click your Workspace avatar.
