Profiles give you a window into everyone's activity. You can add reminders, delegate responsibility, and track progress.
Profiles are available is available on every ClickUp Plan to everyone except guests.

Open a Profile
You can access your own or someone else's profile. Click an avatar or an @mention in any location you see them, including:
- A task assignee or @mention in a comment
- People Custom Fields
- Inbox
- Chat
- Your personal avatar
Open your Profile in ClickUp 4.0
To open your profile in ClickUp 4.0:
- In the upper-right corner, click your personal avatar.
- At the top of the menu, hover over your name, avatar, and online status.
- Click Profile.

To open your or someone else's profile from your personal avatar:
- In the upper-right corner, click your personal avatar.
- Click Profile.

To open another person's Profile, click your name and select a person.

You can open profiles from anywhere you see another person's avatar in ClickUp.
- Click on an avatar.
- Hover over someone's name and avatar.
- Click Profile.

Profile details
The following information is displayed on Profiles in both ClickUp 4.0 and ClickUp 3.0.
Name and ClickUp Verified status
The person's ClickUp Verified status is to the right of their name.
Become ClickUp Verified as a power user, social ambassador, consultant, or ClickUp AI expert, and we'll add the official Verified badge to your Profile!

Title
You can set and update your own title on your Profile. The Workspace owner and admins can edit everyone's titles.
User status
User status indicates a person's availability in the Workspace. For example, they're out of office, have paused notifications, or are on vacation.
In ClickUp 4.0, a person's status is displayed to the right of their title.
In ClickUp 3.0, a person's status is displayed to the right of their name.
Muted notifications
If a user has notifications paused, a z is displayed on the online indicator. The online indicator is a small circle displayed in the lower-right corner of a person's avatar.
In ClickUp 4.0, the online indicator in the Activity tab is also displayed with a z when that person's notifications are muted.
In ClickUp 3.0, you can also hover over a person's status to see if notifications are muted.
Online and Last Online Status
When you're looking at someone's Profile, you can see if they are online now or the last time they were online.
This feature is available when the Who's Online ClickApp is enabled.
View and copy the person's email address so you can contact them outside of ClickUp.
Local time
See the person's local timezone and the offset from your timezone.
Manager
View and set the person you report to in your organization.
To view your manager's profile, click your manager's name.
To update your manager, click your current manager's avatar.
Teams
The Teams a person has joined are displayed on their profile.
Hover over a Team's avatar to see more details.
To view the team's overview page in Teams Hub, either:
- Hover over a team's avatar and click View Team.
- Or, click the team's name.
Chat
Below the person's title, click Chat to start a direct message conversation.
Write StandUp
Write a StandUp from someone else's Profile or your own. See what everyone is working on using data from tasks.
Below the person's title, click Get StandUp.
Chat profile
When you click on someone's avatar from a chat channel or direct message conversation, you'll see their chat profile.
Chat profiles include the following details from their main profile:
- Name
- Title
- Online status
- Local time
- Manager
Quick actions from chat profiles
From a chat profile, you can use the following buttons:
- Chat: Switch to a new or existing direct message conversation.
- Profile: View the person's full profile.
- Priorities: View the person's Priorities.
- SyncUp: Start a SyncUp.
Files card on Chat profiles
Chat profiles include a files card where you can see:
- The most recent files you've shared in direct messages.
- To see all files you've shared in direct messages, click View all files.
Options from Chat profiles
The following options are available after from chat profiles you've started a direct message conversation:
- Mark as unread: Mark the direct message conversation as unread.
- Favorite: Add the direct message to your favorites.
- Close DM: Close the direct message conversation to start over.
Profile tabs
Profiles are separated into tabs and sections.
Activity
The Activity tab includes:
- Priorities: View the person's Priorities.
- Trending tasks: See the most active, recent tasks based on viewing, commenting, and editing.
- Activity: Search, filter, or browse through a person's recent activity.
Tasks
The Tasks tab includes:
- To do: Where people should generally work from as far as their priority is concerned. To do contains both tasks and reminders that start or are due today and earlier. It's also the perfect place to manage tasks in and outside of work by adding reminders.
- Done: Tasks and reminders that have been completed. Tasks in a done status count as completed as well.
- Delegated: Reminders delegated to other people.
Assigned
The Assigned tab includes:
- Tasks: Unscheduled tasks that have been assigned to the person.
- Comments: View and follow up on anyone's unresolved assigned comments.
Calendar
The Calendar tab allows you to view a person's scheduled tasks and calendar events similar to the Agenda card in Home.
