Some items can be restored from the Trash if deleted within the last 30 days. After 30 days, items in the Trash will be automatically and permanently deleted.
What you'll need
- Restoring from the Trash is available on all plans.
- Everyone, including guests, can access the Trash.
- Guests cannot permanently delete items or empty the Trash.
- Members and guests can only see and restore items they have deleted.
- The Workspace owner and admins can see, restore, or permanently delete any items.
Restorable items
These items can be restored from the Trash:
- Spaces
- Folders
- Lists

Tasks, including their attachments
- Deleting a subtask before its parent task causes the subtask to disappear from Trash once the parent task is deleted. The subtask becomes nested under the parent task in the Trash.
- Attachments that are individually deleted cannot be restored.
- Chat view
- Docs and pages
- Form view
- Custom Fields
- Tags
- Whiteboards
- Dashboards
- Reminders
- Time entries
These items cannot be restored from the Trash:
- Templates
- Board view
- Calendar view
- Gantt view
- Timeline view
- Team view
- Table view
- Mind Map
- Workload view
- Activity view
- Map view
- Doc view
- Embed view
- Statuses
- Automations
- Goals
Restore a deleted item
To restore a deleted item:
- Click your avatar in the lower-left corner.
- Select Trash.
- Browse or search for the deleted item.
- Click the ellipsis ... to the right of the item.
- Click Restore.
When you restore a deleted item, tasks and subtasks that existed in multiple Lists will be restored to all Lists. Tags will also be restored to all tasks.
Permanently delete an item
Once an item is deleted from the Trash, it can't be restored.
To permanently delete an item:
- Click your avatar in the lower-left corner.
- Select Trash.
- Scroll or search for the deleted item.
- Click the ellipsis ... to the right of the item.
- Click Delete forever.
