Manage your and your team's ClickUp experience using the settings in the Account and Workspace menus.
Depending on your user role, you'll have access to one or both menus.
If you're using ClickUp 3.0, the Workspace and Account settings menus are in a new location and include different options. Learn more.
Account and Workspace menus were formerly called avatar menus.
What you'll need
- Everyone, including guests, has access to the Account settings menu.
- Only owners and admins have access to the Workspace settings menu.
Using ClickUp 2.0
Account settings menu
The Account settings menu includes links to settings for your ClickUp account. Changes you make to these settings apply to your account and will not impact other people in any Workspaces you've created or joined.
To open the Account settings menu, in the lower-left corner, click your account avatar.
The Account settings menu includes:
- My Settings
- Notifications
- Layout size & style
- Trash
- My Apps: Your Workspace comes with the following apps. Your admin or owner may also have added other apps.
- Cloud Storage
- Time Tracking: Does your Workspace use our native time tracking, learn how to use it!
We also have time-tracking integrations. Time-tracking integrations are set up by an admin or owner. - Slack Notifications: Does your Workspace use the Slack integration? Learn how to enable Slack notifications and use Slack actions!
The Slack integration is set up by an admin or owner. - Apps: If any custom apps have been created by an owner or admin, you'll see them here.

- Log out: Immediately log out of your Workspace.

Workspace settings menu
Workspace owners and admins have access to settings that apply to the entire Workspace.
To open the Workspace settings menu, in the lower-left corner, click your Workspace avatar.
The Workspace settings menu includes the following options. Some items are only available on specific ClickUp Plans.
- Settings: Contains settings for your Workspace avatar, white label branding, Personal Workspace Layout, and the option to delete your Workspace.
- Import/Export
- People
- ClickApps
- Spaces: View and manage all of the Spaces in your Workspace.
- Integrations
- Template Center
- Trash
- Billing
- Upgrade
- Security & Permissions
Using ClickUp 3.0
If you're using ClickUp 3.0, the Workspace and Account settings menus are in a new location and include different options.
Account settings menu
If you're using ClickUp 3.0, the Account settings menu is located on the toolbar.
In the upper-right corner, click your account avatar.
The Account settings menu includes:
- My settings.
- My profile.
- Notification settings.
- Rewards.
- Themes: pick a color theme and use dark mode.
- Trash.
- Hotkeys.
- Download apps.
- Help.
- Logout.
- Switch between ClickUp 3.0 and ClickUp 2.0.
Workspace settings menu
If you're using ClickUp 3.0, the Workspace settings menu is located at the top of the Sidebar.
In the upper-left corner, click your Workspace name.
The Workspace settings menu includes:
- Settings including:
- Workspace settings: rename your Workspace, enable the white labeling, transfer ownership, or delete your Workspace.
- People
- Teams (user groups)
- Spaces
- Import/Export
- Integrations
- Billing
- Upgrade
- Template Center
- Trash
- Security & Permissions
- Manage People.

- Switch Workspaces.
- Create a new Workspace.
