Create a template

Did you create the perfect project plan and are ready to use it again? Turn project into a template with timelines, assignees, and important information so you don't have to manually create what you need with every new project.

What you'll need

  • Templates are available on every plan.
  • Guests only have access to templates for Docs, tasks, views, checklists, and Whiteboards.
  • Guests with edit or full permissions can create templates.

Create a template

To create a template:

  1. Open the Workspace item.

  2. Click the ellipsis ... to open the settings menu.

  3. Select Templates.

  4. Click Save as Template.

  5. From the Save as new Template modal, type a template name to create a new template.

    • Optional: Add a description, tags, and select sharing options.

  6. Click Save.
