Dashboard view

Create a Dashboard view from scratch. Or select a Dashboard template for task tracking, team collaboration, time-tracking metrics, project management, client collaboration, or Sprint planning.

Dashboard templates contain pre-set cards so the view is ready in seconds. The cards do have options that can be customized, for example, time range, including subtasks, or applying filters.

Dashboard views

A Dashboard view shows the task data from the Space, Folder, Sprint Folder, List, or Sprint List where it's created. The particular data and the way it displays depends on how the Dashboard and its cards are set up.

When a Dashboard view is in a duplicated location or a location created from a template, the Dashboard view is not duplicated. This functionality is coming soon.

Create a Dashboard view

Create a custom Dashboard view from Dashboard templates or start from scratch.

Create a Dashboard view from a template

Dashboard templates differ slightly depending on location. For example, Sprint Lists have a Sprint Reporting template.

To create a Dashboard view from a template:

  1. From the Views Bar at the top of a Space, Folder, Sprint Folder, List, or Sprint List click + View.
    • You can check the Private view box if you want other people to access this view.
    • You can check the Pin view box if you want the view to always display in your Views Bar.
    • You can also do this later.
  2. Select Dashboard.
    • You can name and customize some Dashboard view settings from the Customize Dashboard modal on the right. You can also do this later.
  3. From the Create a Dashboard modal, select a template.
By default, data from the entire location is included. If you select a Space or a Folder, you can unselect some locations within the Space or Folder. Data from those locations will be excluded from the Dashboard view.
To unselect a location within a Space or a Folder:
    • From the What data do you want to visualize? modal click the Location dropdown.
    • Click the box to unselect one or more lower levels of the Hierarchy. For example, if the location is a Space, you can unselect Folders or Lists but not the Space.
