Intro to the mobile app 2.0

Instead of using your laptop to change a task status, reply to a comment, access Dashboards, or mark a reminder as completed, you can use the ClickUp mobile app!

What you'll need

  • The ClickUp mobile app is available on all ClickUp plans.
  • Everyone, including guests, can use the ClickUp mobile app.
  • The ClickUp mobile app is only available in English.
  • When using the ClickUp mobile app, your mobile device timezone is used.

What to use ClickUp mobile for

ClickUp mobile is great for taking quick action, but certain features are simply too big to fit on a small screen at this time. We want to provide the most value possible without compromising the ClickUp mobile experience.
Use ClickUp mobile Use the browser or desktop app
Create tasks. Use Whiteboards.
Create reminders. Use Gantt view.
Comment on tasks and assign work. Create and edit Dashboards.
Track time on tasks. Set time estimates on tasks.
Check and clear notifications. Change billing and account settings.
Create and edit notes in the Notepad. Use Goals.
Change task statuses, descriptions, or locations within the Hierarchy. Use Relationships.
Edit Custom Fields. Use Table view.
See Dashboard data. Create, edit, or apply templates.
  Add new Custom Fields.
  Create a new Workspace.
If you'd like to see a specific feature implemented into the mobile app in the future, you can vote for it on our feedback board!

Use the Quick Action menu

In the lower-right corner of the app, tap the Quick Action menu to:
  • Create a task.
  • Create a reminder.
  • Track time.
  • Create a Doc.
  • Open your Notepad.

Create a task

Create tasks by tapping the Quick Create icon in the lower-right corner.

Set a default launch page

By default, your mobile launch page is Home. You can change your default launch page in your settings.

Use the Sidebar

Swipe right from the left side of your screen or tap the Sidebar icon in the upper-left corner to open it.

You can take the following actions using the Sidebar:
Action Description
Switch Workspaces In the upper-left corner, tap your Workspace name to switch to another one.
Settings In the upper-right corner, tap the settings icon to turn on Dark Mode, enable or disable sound effects, contact our Support team, and more.
Search Tap Search and start typing to locate tasks, files, and Docs throughout your Workspace.
Home Check tasks, comments, notifications, and your calendar from the mobile Home page.
Notifications Check notifications or individually clear them by swiping left. Tap Clear notifications at the bottom to clear them all at once.
Favorites
See Favorite tasks and views! Tap on any favorited item to jump to that location in ClickUp.

To favorite a task, open it, tap the ellipsis ... in the upper-right corner, and select Add to favorites. You cannot favorite views on mobile.

Spaces
Access your entire ClickUp Hierarchy:
  • Search: Search for a specific Space, Folder, or List.
  • Shared with me: See all items that have been shared with you.
  • Everything: See every task in your entire Workspace.
  • Expand: Expand and browse Spaces, Folders, and Lists in your Workspace.
  • Create: Create Folders, Lists, and Docs at any level of the Hierarchy.
Dashboards Check your Dashboards from your phone. Dashboards cannot be created from the mobile app.
Docs
Find or create Docs quickly using the following options:
  • All: Tap to see all Docs you have access to.
  • Assigned to me: Tap to see all Docs assigned to you.
  • Shared with me: Tap to see all Docs shared with you.
  • Private: Tap to see all private Docs.

Use Spotlight Search on iOS to find items in ClickUp

Apple iPhone and iPad users can use Spotlight Search to find recently viewed items in ClickUp.
To do so:
  1. From your device's home screen, swipe down.
  2. Begin typing the name of a recently viewed item in ClickUp.
  3. Tap the result when it appears.

Edit Custom Fields on mobile

You can edit any existing Custom Fields from the mobile app with the exception of File and Location Custom Fields.

To edit a Custom Field on mobile:

  1. In List view, scroll to the task you want to edit the Custom Field for.
  2. Swipe left until you see the Custom Field you want to edit.
  3. Tap the Custom Field.
  4. Make edits.
  5. Tap Done.
