Intro to Inbox on mobile

Keep track of your ClickUp notifications on the mobile app.

What you'll need

Check notifications from the Inbox

You can check notifications from the Inbox. To access it, tap Inbox in the Mobile Navigation bar at the bottom of the app.

Notifications are automatically grouped by date. Tap any notification to open it in full screen and see additional details.

Notification details

To the right of each item in your Inbox, you'll see the total number of individual notifications related to that item.

If you have been mentioned, you'll see an @ icon to the right of the notification.

If you have been assigned a comment, you'll see the assigned comment icon to the right of the notification.

For task notifications, colored icons to the left of each task and subtask indicate the status and task type

Notifications types

When you open the Inbox, you'll be viewing Important notifications by default.

You can change which type of notifications you're viewing by tapping Important in the upper-left corner and selecting one of the options:

New comments or new replies in comment threads

Comments assigned to you

Tasks assigned to you

@mentions

@mentions for Teams you are a part of

Reactions

Lists, Folders, tasks, or Docs that are shared with you

Other

Other notifications include changes made to tasks where you are a watcher. The types of task activity include:

Newly created tasks

• Task status changes

• Task type changes

Assignee changes

Task name changes

New subtasks

Custom Field changes

And other less important notifications

Snoozed See all snoozed notifications.
Cleared See all cleared notifications.

Read and unread notifications

Unread notifications are bold.

Mark notifications as unread

You can mark notifications as unread from the Inbox:

  1. Swipe right on a notification.
  2. Tap the mail icon to the left of the task name.

Alternatively, you can mark a notification as unread after opening it:

  1. Tap a notification to open it.
  2. In the upper-right corner, tap the mail icon.

Refresh notifications

Notifications automatically refresh on the mobile app. 

Filter notifications

There are three notification filters available at the top of the Inbox:

  • Assigned to me: See notifications where you were assigned a task or added to a task as a watcher.
  • Mentions: See notifications where you were mentioned.
  • Unread: See all unread notifications.

Tap any filter to enable it. Tap it again to disable it.

Stop receiving notifications

To stop receiving notifications for an item:

  1. From the Inbox, tap a notification to open it.
  2. In the upper-right corner, tap the bell icon to stop receiving notifications for the item.

You can temporarily mute all notifications by updating your status.

Profiles and statuses

To see your Profile and update your status, tap your avatar in the upper-right corner of the Inbox.

You can set your status, generate an AI StandUp covering the last 24 hours, access your calendar, and more!

Update your status

To update your status:

  1. Open your Profile.
  2. Tap your existing status or What's your status?
  3. Tap an existing status or type a custom status.

    When creating a custom status, tap the emoji icon to the left to select a custom emoji.

  4. In the upper-right corner, tap Save.

Snooze notifications

Snoozing allows you to temporarily hide notifications from your Inbox until a specific date or time, or if there's an update.

To snooze a notification:

  1. From the Inbox, swipe left on a notification and tap the snooze icon.
    • Alternatively, tap the notification, then tap the snooze icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose a preselected or custom date and time.

Clear notifications

To clear a notification, swipe all the way left on it.

Alternatively, tap the notification to open it and select Clear in the lower-right corner.
