Add ClickUp widgets to your mobile device's home screen

Get organized and take action with ClickUp widgets on your phone's home screen!

What you'll need

  • Everyone, including guests, can use ClickUp home screen widgets.
  • You must be logged in to the ClickUp mobile app before you can add the widget to your mobile device's home screen.

Create a home screen widget on iOS

Home screen widgets are available on Apple devices running iOS 14 or later.

To create a home screen widget on iOS:

  1. Tap and hold the home screen until the apps begin to shake.

  2. In the upper-left corner, tap the + icon.

  3. Search for and select ClickUp.

  4. At the bottom of one of the widgets, tap Add Widget.

There are several iOS widgets:

  • 1 small Shortcuts widget.

  • 1 small Add Task widget.

  • 1 small Add reminder widget.

  • 1 medium Today View widget with a quick create button for tasks.

    • The quick create button can be edited to create reminders. Tap and hold the widget to change the quick create button.

  • 1 large Today View widget with quick create buttons for tasks and reminders.

Shortcuts

Use this small widget to select up to five unique ClickUp shortcuts.

To set up the widget, tap and hold it until you see the option to edit the widget.

Once in edit mode, you can edit each shortcut by tapping its current function on the right. The default functions are:

  • Shortcut 1: Create Task
  • Shortcut 2: Create Reminder
  • Shortcut 3: Create note
  • Shortcut 4: Create Doc

Add Task

Use this small widget to quickly create tasks! To set up the Add Task widget, tap and hold it until you see the option to edit the widget.

Once in edit mode, the following options display:

  • Workspace: Select a Workspace for your task. This option is required.

  • List: Select a List for your task. This option is required.

  • Assignee: Pre-select the task assignee.

  • Priority: Pre-select the task priority.

  • Name: Pre-fill the task name.

After you've set up the widget with your desired settings, tap the widget to create a task.

Add reminder

Create reminders on the go using this widget. Tap the widget to open the ClickUp app and create a reminder.

Today View

The Today View widget displays the tasks and reminders that are due today. You can choose between medium and large sizes for this widget.

To set up either Today View widget:

  1. Tap and hold the home screen until the apps begin to shake.
  2. In the upper-left corner, tap the + icon.
  3. Search for and select ClickUp.
  4. At the bottom of the medium or large Today View widget, tap Add Widget.
  5. Tap and hold the Today View widget.
  6. Tap Edit Widget.
  7. Next to Workspace, tap Choose.
  8. Select a Workspace.

Once the widget is set up, you can take the following actions:

  • Open any task by tapping it.
  • Open My Work by tapping the header.
  • Create a task by tapping + Task.
  • Create a reminder by tapping + Reminder.

Create a home screen widget on Android

There are three different types of Android home screen widgets:

  • Create task

  • Create reminder

  • Today

Both the Create task and Create reminder widgets can be pinned to your home screen from the Android widget gallery to quickly create tasks and reminders on the go.

Add the Today widget to your home screen from the widget gallery to see tasks and reminders due today. Upon adding the widget, you are prompted to choose a Workspace.

You can resize this widget to your liking.

Android Share Extension

Share an image, file, or link from your Android device to ClickUp.

On any website:

  1. Tap the ellipsis ... menu.

  2. Tap Share.

  3. Select ClickUp.

  4. Create task or reminder in the ClickUp app.

You have full customization options to select a location, add attachments, mark priority, and more!
