Each view provides a different focus on your and your team's work.
You can see individual tasks on a List, Board, or Calendar view. You can see how tasks are connected on Gantt view. You can use Team or Workload view to see how work is distributed.
The Views Bar
Use the Views Bar at the top of any Space, Folder, or List to organize how you view your tasks.
Open a view
To open an existing view:
- From the Views Bar at the top of a Space, Folder, or List, click the view name.
Add a view
Each Space, Folder, and List you create has a List and Board view by default. Learn how to add a view to these locations.
View types
View types are categorized into Task views and Page views.
These are the available view types:
Task views
Task views are different ways of viewing tasks.
You control how you see your tasks with different ways of grouping, sorting, and filtering.
Plus, you can save your views for everyone else to see!
List view
List view is the most common way to manage and prioritize your tasks easily.
List is a required task view for every Space, Folder, and List in ClickUp. It's the most flexible way to group, sort, and filter.
Board view
Board view is the go-to view for agile teams.
This view lets you visualize tasks by status. You can drag and drop tasks to easily move them through your workflow.
Calendar view
Calendar view is your place for planning, scheduling, and resource management.
Learn how to sync an external calendar with this view.
Team view
Team view shows you what people are working on, what they've finished, and everyone's capacity.
Team view is great for project managers.
Gantt view
Use Gantt view to plan projects, manage time spent, and set deadlines.
You can even track custom task types, like Milestones, and export your Gantt as a PDF.
Activity view
Add an Activity view anywhere in your Workspace to see all the work in that location.
Activity view is great for managers.
Timeline view
With Timeline view, you can visualize your schedule linearly with flexible organization.
Timeline view is perfect for roadmaps, planning, and resource management.
Workload view
Enable Workload view for your entire Workspace to visualize team capacity and manage resources.
Use Workload to give leadership a high-level view.
Mind Maps
Create a Mind Map of your tasks or a free-form Mind Map for planning projects or organizing ideas. Link, create, edit, and delete tasks and subtasks right from your view.
Table view
In Table view, every row is the same height, every field is a column, and by default, there is no separation by List or status.
Table view is great for analyzing a lot of info at once.
Map view
Map view allows you to see where your tasks are located.

Page views
Page views let you use additional resources alongside your tasks.
Dashboard view
Use Dashboard view to ensure your team can easily find the data they need.
Create Dashboards to track data on things like task tracking, team collaboration, time-tracking metrics, project management, client collaboration, or sprint planning.
Whiteboard view
Whiteboards are collaborative work areas you can add at the Everything, Space, Folder, or List level as views.
Use Whiteboards for work like brainstorming, creating flow charts, or team meetings.
Chat view
Chat views are where you'll keep in touch with your team.
Also available as a Dashboard card.
Doc view
Create, collaborate, and keep all of your work in one place by creating wikis and Docs for whatever you're working on.
Embed view
Use embed view to share interactive items or content from other platforms.
Form view
Drag-and-drop fields to quickly create a Form and start gathering data. Easily share your forms with anyone by copying the direct link or embed code to insert the Form directly into your website.
Pin a view
Bookmark a view by pinning it to the Views Bar. Pinned views display before unpinned views so they're easy to find.
Pin groups of views to make your Views Bar easier to navigate. Or pin individual views to simplify things for temporary guests working on short-term projects.
Group and reorder views
Organize and streamline your work by grouping and reordering views.
Set a default view
Set a view as the default to make sure everyone sees it first when opening a specific location.
Require a view
When you create a Space, you can make a view required.
Protect a view
Protect views so no one else can make changes.
Create a private view
If you don't need other people to access your view, then you can make it private.
