Edit, share, duplicate, or favorite your Spaces, Folders, and Lists!
Settings menu options vary by Hierarchy level and permissions.
For example, Spaces and Folders have more options than Lists.
If you have Full edit permissions on one List and Edit permissions on another List, the settings available on each List will vary.

Access the settings menu
You can access the settings menu from multiple locations in ClickUp.
The options vary depending if you're using ClickUp 4.0 or ClickUp 3.0.
Access location settings in ClickUp 4.0
You can access location settings in ClickUp 4.0 from:
- Right-clicking on the current location name in the location header.
- Right-clicking the location name in your Home Sidebar or the Spaces sidebar.
- The ellipsis ... icon, which is displayed:
- In the current location dropdown menu from the location header.
- Next to the location name in the Home Sidebar.
- Next to the location name in the Spaces Sidebar.
Access location settings in ClickUp 3.0
You can access location settings in ClickUp 3.0 from:
- The ellipsis icon next to the location name. The ellipsis is displayed in:
- The navigation breadcrumbs displayed in the location header.
- When the location header is expanded, it is also displayed next to the location name.
- Next to the location name in the sidebar.
Space settings
The following table describes the settings available for Spaces:

Add the Space to your Favorites or one of your Home Sidebar sections, or pin it to the top of your Workspace. This option is only displayed in ClickUp 4.0. In ClickUp 3.0, you'll see the Add to Favorites option instead. |

| Create new | Create a new item in the Space. |
| Color & Icon | Change the Space's color and icon. |
| Templates | Create a template or apply a pre-made template. |
| Automations | Manage or create Automations for the Space. |

This option is only available in ClickUp 4.0. |
| Custom Fields | Manage or create Custom Fields for the Space. |
| Task statuses | Update the task statuses for the Space. |
| More | Access additional Space settings. |
| Add to Favorites |
Add the Space to your Favorites. This option is only displayed in ClickUp 3.0. In ClickUp 4.0, you'll see the Favorite option instead. |
| Hide Space | Click to remove this Space from your Sidebar. You'll retain access to this Space, but it won't be visible. |
| Duplicate | Duplicate the Space. |
| Archive | Archive the Space. |
| Delete | Delete the Space. |
| Sharing & Permissions | Access the sharing and permission settings. |
Folder settings
The following table describes the settings available for Folders:

Add the Folder to your Favorites. This option is only displayed in ClickUp 3.0. In ClickUp 4.0, you'll see the Favorite option instead. |

List settings
