Remove a Custom Field from specific locations or delete it from your entire Workspace.
What you'll need
- 60 uses of Custom Fields are available on the Free Forever Plan.
- Unlimited uses are available on all paid plans.
- Individual Custom Fields can be hidden from all guests.
- Guests cannot remove or delete Custom Fields.
Remove a Custom Field from specific locations
You can remove a Custom Field from specific locations without deleting it from your entire Workspace.
Custom Fields must exist in at least one location.
Custom Fields can be removed from a Space, Folder, or List using the Custom Field Manager or a List view.
Custom Field Manager
You can remove Custom Fields from specific locations using the ellipsis ... menu or the Edit field sidebar in the Custom Field Manager.
From the ellipsis ... menu:
- From the Custom Field Manager sidebar, choose a Space, Folder, or List.
- To the right of the Custom Field, click the ellipsis ... icon.
- Select Remove.
From the Edit field sidebar:
- From the Custom Field Manager sidebar, choose a Space, Folder, or List.
- Hover over the Custom Field and click Edit.
- In the Edit field sidebar, click Locations.
- Hover over a location and click the x icon.
List view
To remove a Custom Field from a specific location using a List view:
- Open a List view in the Space, Folder, or List.
- If the Custom Field is displayed as a column, click its column header. If not, add the field as a column and click its column header.
- Select Delete field. If you are deleting the field from the only location it exists, it will be sent to the Trash. The Workspace owner or an admin can restore it within 30 days of deletion.
- To confirm, click Delete.
Delete a Custom Field from your Workspace
Delete a Custom Field from your entire Workspace. Deleted Custom Fields are sent to the Trash, where admins and owners have 30 days to restore it.
To delete a Custom Field from your Workspace:
- Open the Custom Field Manager.
- From the sidebar, select the highest Hierarchy location in which the Custom Field exists.
- Hover over the Custom Field you want to remove and click Edit.
- In the Edit field sidebar, scroll down and click Delete.
- To confirm, click Delete Everywhere.
