Set default Custom Field values to save time! When you set a default value, every new task you create will have the value until it's overridden.
What you'll need
- 60 Custom Fields uses are available on the Free Forever Plan.
- Unlimited uses are available on paid plans.
- Guests with edit or full permissions can edit existing Custom Fields but cannot create new ones.
- You can set default values for Custom Fields on all plans.
Available fields
You can set a default Custom Field value for the following field types:
- Checkbox
- Date
- Dropdown
- Labels
- Location
- Money
- Number
- Phone
- Progress (Manual)
- Rating
- Text
- Text area (Long Text)
- Website
You can't set default values for AI Fields.
Set a default value
To set a default value from the Custom Field Manager:
- Click the Custom Field to open the editor sidebar.
- Hover over the value that you want to make the default.
- Select Set default.
- In the lower-right corner, click Save.
