Set default Custom Field values to save time! When you set a default value, every new task you create will have the value until it's overridden. 

What you'll need

• 60 Custom Fields uses are available on the Free Forever Plan.
• Unlimited uses are available on paid plans.
• Guests with edit or full permissions can edit existing Custom Fields but cannot create new ones.
• You can set default values for Custom Fields on all plans.

Available fields

You can set a default Custom Field value for the following field types:

• Checkbox
• Date
• Dropdown
• Email
• Labels
• Location
• Money
• Number
• Phone
• Progress (Manual)
• Rating
• Text
• Text area (Long Text)
• Website

You can't set default values for AI Custom Fields.

Set a default value

To set a default value from the Custom Field Manager:

1. Click the Custom Field.
2. Click Field Type to expand the options.
3. Select the Default value dropdown.
4. Choose an option.
5. In the lower-right corner, click Save.
