Pin a Custom Field to ensure it's always visible on all tasks throughout your Workspace. Unlike regular Custom Fields, pinned Custom Fields stay in place whether they have a value or not.
You can pin Custom Fields from tasks or the Custom Field Manager.

What you'll need
- 60 uses of Custom Fields are available on the Free Forever Plan.
- Unlimited uses are available on all paid plans.
- You can pin Custom Fields on the Business Plan and up.
- Individual Custom Fields can be hidden from all guests.
- On the Business Plan, guests with full edit permissions can pin Custom Fields.
- On the Business Plus and Enterprise Plans, the custom role permission to pin Custom Fields can be enabled or disabled for each user role.
Pin a Custom Field from a task
To pin a Custom Field from a task:
- Open a task with the Custom Field you want to pin.
- Scroll down to the Fields section.
- Hover over the Custom Field and click the pin icon.
- If you don't see the field, click Show below the table.
Pin a Custom Field from the Custom Field Manager
To pin a Custom Field from the Custom Field Manager:
- Click the Custom Field to open the editor sidebar.
- Click More settings and permissions.
- Enable Pinned.
- In the lower-right corner, click Save.
