Add detailed context to your Lists. List Info allows you to add descriptions, due dates, attachments, and more to your Lists.
What you'll need
- List Info is available on every ClickUp plan.

Guests can see List Info for Lists that are shared with them.
- Guests with Time Tracking or Time Estimates hidden cannot see Time Tracking and Time Estimate information for Lists.
Add List Info
To open List Info, right-click the List name from:
- Your Home Sidebar or Spaces Sidebar in ClickUp 4.0
- The Sidebar in ClickUp 3.0
- The List's location header
List Info details
Add or edit the following details in List Info:
| Detail | Description |
| Start date | Add a start date for your List. |
| Due date | Add a due date for your List. |
| Description | Add a description to specify high-level objectives for the List. |
| Time Estimated | See the total of all task and subtask time estimates in the List. |
| Time Tracked | See the total of all time tracked from tasks and subtasks in the List. |
| Attachments | Upload files to keep important items attached to the List. |
| Priority | Set a Priority level for your List. |
| Assignee | Assign the List to someone in your Workspace. |
| Color |
Change the color of your List's icon. Update your List icon! |
| Sharing & Permissions | Set sharing and permissions settings for the List. |
View a List's description
To access a List's description:
- Open any view in the List.
- Next to the List name in the location header, click the description icon.
Pin a List description to List view
Once a description has been added to your List Info, you can pin it to the top of any List view in this List:
- At the top of the List view, click the description icon.
- At the bottom of the description menu, click the pin toggle.
- Save your view to keep the List description pinned to the top.
