The following table describes the sections available in a Super Agent's profile:

Super Agent Profile section Description
Instructions Instructions tell your Super Agent what to do. Instructions are always required.
Triggers Triggers represent work that your Super Agents will do based on when and how they are triggered to take action.
Skills In this section, you can add and remove tools that allow the Super Agent to perform different jobs for you. Learn which tools are available to Super Agents.
Knowledge A Super Agent's knowledge is the data it has access to do its job. You can select Workspace data source and external data sources. You can also allow an Agent to access our public-facing help articles, certain connected apps, and the web.
Memory ClickUp Super Agents have infinite memory. They have different types of memory, enabling them to work more effectively as they boost your team's productivity. Types of memory include:

Recent: Private short-term memory of recent work. Activating a Super Agent's recent memory enables the Agent to recall only memories that each user already has access to.

Preferences: Your Super Agent can learn from user feedback. The Agent will ask for approval before storing any memories.

Intelligence: Your Super Agent automatically learns and stores helpful memories at its own discretion.

Edit a Super Agent

You can edit a Super Agent in either of two ways:

  • Chat with Brain in the Super Agent Builder, or use Talk to Text to transcribe your voice.
  • Manually configure the Super Agent's settings from its profile.

Don't forget to upvote or downvote based on the quality of the Super Agent's responses!

Refine a Super Agent

Super Agents can refine themselves when a user asks in a DM or an @mention. You can also tune their preferences and memory-related behavior.

Instructions

Instructions tell your Super Agent what to do. Instructions are always required.

Effective instructions outline the Super Agent's role and objective, as well as the steps to achieve successful outcomes. Instructions are written in natural language, with some specific structure and formatting to ensure the Super Agent is successful.

You can use the Super Agent builder, ask the Super Agent to update itself, or refer to our prompting best practices.

In your Super Agent's instructions, you can mention:

  • Items: Including Chats, Docs, and tasks.
  • Locations: Including Lists, Subfolders, Folders, and Spaces.

These mentions will be automatically added to your Super Agent's knowledge.

In the Instructions section, you can select the AI model that you want to use.

Triggers

Triggers tell Super Agents when to take action.

You can give a Super Agent specific instructions for each trigger. The Super Agent will follow the trigger-specific instructions in addition to its primary instructions.

For example:

A Super Agent can provide a report of only urgent priority tasks when it's triggered in a direct message conversation. On Wednesdays at 11 am, the Super Agent provides a complete report of open tasks grouped by priority.

Super Agents can be triggered using any combination of the following options:

  • Manual: Someone interacts with the Super Agent to trigger them. Options include:
    • Mention: You can @mention the Super Agent in task comments, Doc comments, and Chat.
    • Direct Message: Trigger the Super Agent in a private Direct Message (DM) conversation.
    • Assign task: Set the Super Agent as a task assignee to trigger it.
  • Scheduled: The Super Agent is triggered on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or custom schedule.
  • Automated: The Super Agent is triggered by Automations.
