To use Super Agents, you'll need to use ClickUp 4.0 and activate the AI ClickApp for your Workspace.

If you want to interact with Super Agents via Chat, you'll need to activate the Chat ClickApp.

Creating Super Agents

There are three ways to create a Super Agent in ClickUp:

• Natural language builder: You'll chat to explain what you need, and answer questions to build your Super Agent.
• Use the Super Agent catalog: Start with an Agent from our catalog of prebuilt Super Agents. 
  • We'll start the natural language builder for you, using a prebuilt prompt. 
  • You'll answer questions to customize and refine the Super Agent for your workflow. 
• Start from scratch: Create a blank Super Agent and manually configure it to meet your needs.

Create a Super Agent using the natural-language builder

Use our natural-language builder to create a Super Agent. The builder will help you customize your Super Agent's behavior, knowledge, and tools. 

To create a Super Agent:

1. In your Global Navigation, select AI. 
   • If you don't see AI in your Global Navigation, click the More menu, then select AI. You can also pin AI to your Global Navigation.
2. In the AI Hub's sidebar, click New Super Agent.
   
3. In the prompt field, start typing a prompt for your Super Agent.

4. The builder will help you create the Super Agent by asking you questions.
5. When the builder is done, the right sidebar will display your Super Agent's profile.
   • If you're satisfied with your Super Agent's profile, it's ready!
   • Right after it's created, the Super Agent will DM you outlining what it can and can't do. 
   • You can interact with the Super Agent by typing questions or asking it to refine any of its settings.

Next steps

After your Super Agent is created, you'll interact with it according to its triggers. 

You can always edit it in these ways:

• You can manually edit a Super Agent at any time.
• You can edit these parts of your Super Agent's appearance and availability:
  • Name and description
  • Avatar
  • Privacy, sharing, and permissions
  • Activate or deactivate it in your Workspace

Create a Super Agent from the catalog

The Super Agent catalog contains prebuilt prompts to help you get started. 

Our natural-language builder makes it easy to customize the Agent to your workflows.

To create a Super Agent from the catalog:

1. In your Global Navigation, select AI. 
   • If you don't see AI in your Global Navigation, click the More menu, then select AI. You can also pin AI to your Global Navigation.
2. In the AI Hub's sidebar, click All Super Agents.
3. Below the prompt field, browse to find Super Agents, including:
   • Suggested Super Agents: Directly below the prompt field, you'll see five suggested Super Agents based on your recent activity.
     
   • Explore Superpowers: Discover ideas for helpful Super Agents based on the apps you use.
     
   • Scroll down to find a Super Agent from the catalog.
4. The natural language builder will start building a Super Agent using a prebuilt prompt.
5. Use the natural language builder to customize the Super Agent for your workflow.

Create a Super Agent from scratch

If you prefer, you can create a blank Super Agent and manually configure it to meet your needs.

To create a Super Agent from scratch:

1. In your Global Navigation, select AI. 
   • If you don't see AI in your Global Navigation, click the More menu, then select AI. You can also pin AI to your Global Navigation.
2. In the AI Hub's sidebar, click All Super Agents.
3. In the upper-right corner, click Start from scratch.
   
4. The new Super Agent's profile is displayed.
5. You can edit these parts of your Super Agent's appearance and availability:
   • Name and description
   • Avatar
   • Privacy, sharing, and permissions
   • Activate or deactivate it in your Workspace
6. You can manually configure this information for your new Super Agent:
   • Instructions
   • Triggers
   • Tools
   • Memory
   • Knowledge
7. When you're done, you'll activate the new Super Agent.
   • If you're satisfied with your Super Agent's profile, it's ready!
   • Right after it's activated. The Super Agent will DM you outlining what it can and can't do. 

Next steps

After your Super Agent is created, you'll interact with it according to its triggers. 

You can always edit it in these ways:

• You can manually edit a Super Agent at any time.
• You can update a Super Agent's appearance and availability at any time.

Test and refine a Super Agent

In the Super Agent's profile, under the avatar, are two settings that allow you to test and refine a Super Agent before implementing it in your Workspace.

To test and refine your Super Agent, you can:

• Message: Click to DM the Super Agent. This will open a Chat DM where the Super Agent outlines what it can and can't do. You can interact with the Super Agent by typing questions or asking it to refine any of its settings.
• Run Agent: Click to test the Super Agent.  
  • If your Super Agent runs on a schedule, you will have the option to preview how it will run at its scheduled time. 
  • Otherwise, click Send DM to trigger the Super Agent for a test run. You can interact with the Super Agent by typing questions or asking it to reconfigure certain settings.
