What are AI Skills?

Save instructions once so ClickUp Brain consistently handles requests the way you want.

Think of a Skill as a saved playbook. You define the steps, context, and style one time, and Brain follows it every time the Skill is used. The Skills Hub is where your Workspace's Skills live, so you can browse, install, and manage them in one place.

Feature availability and limits vary by plan and user role. Learn more

The Skills Hub can only be accessed if the AI and Custom Skills ClickApps are enabled in your Workspace.

Activate the Custom Skills ClickApps

To use AI Skills, an admin must activate the Custom Skills ClickApp in your Workspace:

  1. Open the App Center.
  2. Search for and activate Custom Skills.

What can you do with Skills?

Use Skills to automate the instructions you give Brain most often, such as:

  • "Write emails in my voice"
  • "When I say 'bug report,' format it like this"
  • "Create slides using our brand style"
  • "Generate project reports the way I want them"
  • "Review landing pages and flag anything that breaks our brand rules"

The more specific a Skill is about how you want something done, the better the results.
