Default Home Sidebar sections
Items can be in multiple sections at once. For example, if you favorite a Channel, it's still in All Channels.
If you don't see your Home Sidebar, click the expand icon at the top of your Global Navigation.
The default Home Sidebar sections are below the Home section. Not finding what you need? Create a Custom Home Sidebar section!
To see the default sections, ensure your Home Sidebar filters are cleared.
If the Chat ClickApp is not activated in your Workspace, you won't see Channels and Direct messages.
These sections cannot be deleted:
| Section | Description |
| Favorites | All of your favorited items. |
| Channels |
Channels you follow. Learn more about how to take action on Channels. |
| Direct Messages |
Your direct messages. Learn more about how to take action on direct messages. |
| Spaces |
All non-hidden Spaces, Folders, and Lists. Learn more about individual Space, Folder, and List settings. |
| Recents | Your recently-viewed Lists, tasks, and Docs. |
Reorganize default sections
You can customize your Home Sidebar by reordering entire sections!

Default section settings
Each Home Sidebar default section has a settings menu. To open the section's settings menu, click the ellipsis ... icon next to the section's name. Each section has some shared and unique settings.
Shared settings
The following table describes the shared settings available for all default sections:

| Mark all as read/ Mark as unread |
When items are unread, the section name is bolded. Select Mark as read to clear unread items. Select Mark as unread |
| Add to section | Add this item to another section. |
| Show and sort |
Click to choose to show this category of item:

| Reorder sections |
Open the Reorder sections modal where you can drag and drop sections to organize them. You can create a custom section from the Reorder sections modal. You can also drag and drop sections in the Home Sidebar. |
Unique settings
The following table describes the unique settings available for different default sections:
| Unique settings | Description |
| Browse Channels | This setting is in the Channels section. See all of the Channels in your Workspace that you can access. |
| Limit | This setting is in the Channels, DMs, and Recents sections. Limit how many items are visible in the section. |
| Browse people |
This setting is in the Direct Messages section. See all of the people in your Workspace. You can filter by people using these settings:

| Create Space | Create a Space. |
| Manage Spaces | Manage the Spaces you've joined. |
| Show all Spaces | Show all Spaces, including ones you've hidden. |
| Show Archived | Show all archived items. |
