Intro to Inbox on mobile

Keep track of your ClickUp notifications on the mobile app.

Open your Inbox on mobile

To open your Inbox on the mobile app, tap Inbox at the bottom of the app.

In ClickUp 4.0, you'll see Inbox at the bottom of the app from Home, My Tasks, or any page accessible from the More menu.

Notifications automatically refresh on the mobile app. 

Notification details

Notifications are automatically grouped by date. Tap any notification to open it in fullscreen and see additional details.

Unread notifications are bold. If you've been mentioned, you'll see an @ icon to the right of the notification. 

For task notifications, the icon on the left indicates its task type and its color represents its status.

Notification types

When you open the Inbox, you'll be viewing primary notifications by default.

In ClickUp 4.0, you can change which type of notifications you're viewing by tapping Primary in the upper-left corner and selecting one of the options:

  • Primary
  • Other
  • Later
  • Cleared

The number of unread notifications is displayed next to the Primary and Other options.

Mark notifications as unread on mobile

To mark a notification as unread:

  1. In your Inbox, swipe right on a notification.
  2. Tap the mail icon to the left of the task name.

You can also mark a notification as unread after opening it:

  1. Tap a notification to open it.
  2. In the upper-right corner, tap the mail icon.

Mark notifications as read on mobile

When you open a notification on your mobile device, a browser, or the desktop app, it will be marked as read in your Inbox.

To mark an unread notification as read:

  1. In your Inbox, swipe right on a read notification.
  2. Tap the mail icon to the left of the task name.

Filter notifications on mobile in ClickUp 4.0

To filter notifications on your current Inbox page:

  1. In the upper-right, tap the filter icon.

  2. Tap one of the filters to apply it:
    • Mentions: Only view notifications in which someone @mentioned you.
    • Assigned: Only view notifications that have a comment or message that is assigned to you.
    • Unread only: Only view unread notifications.
    • Reminders: Only view reminder-related notifications.

To remove a filter, tap it again.

Filter notifications on mobile in ClickUp 3.0

There are three notification filters available at the top of the Inbox:

  • Assigned to me: See notifications where you were assigned a task or added to a task as a follower.
  • Mentions: See notifications where you were mentioned.
  • Unread: See all unread notifications.

Tap any filter to enable it. Tap it again to disable it.

Stop receiving notifications on mobile

To stop receiving notifications for an item:

  1. Tap a notification to open it.
  2. In the upper-right corner, tap the bell icon to stop receiving notifications for the item.

You can temporarily mute all notifications by updating your status.

Profiles and statuses on mobile

To see your Profile and update your status, tap your avatar in the upper-right corner of the Inbox.

You can set your status, generate an AI StandUp covering the last 24 hours, access your calendar, and more!

Update your status on mobile

To update your status:

  1. Open your Profile.
  2. Tap your current status or select Set a status.
  3. Tap one of the available statuses or type a custom one.
  4. Choose when you want the status to expire, if you'll be out of office, or if you want to mute notifications.
  5. In the upper-right corner, tap Done.

Snooze notifications on mobile

Snoozing allows you to temporarily hide notifications from your primary Inbox page until a specific date or time, or if there's an update.

To snooze a notification:

  1. From the Inbox, swipe left on a notification and tap the snooze icon.
    • Alternatively, tap the notification, then tap the snooze icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose a preselected or custom date and time.

Clear notifications on mobile

To clear a notification, swipe all the way left on it.

Alternatively, tap the notification to open it and select Clear in the lower-right corner.

To clear all notifications on your current Inbox page in ClickUp 4.0:

  1. In the upper-right, tap the filter icon.
  2. Select the checkmark icon.

  3. To confirm, tap Clear all.

Search your Inbox on mobile in ClickUp 4.0

To search for a specific notification on your current Inbox page:

  1. In the upper-right, tap the filter icon.
  2. Next to the filter icon, tap the search icon.
  3. Type a keyword or phrase from the notification. Results filter automatically.
