Changes made to Docs on mobile instantly update on other devices.
What you'll need
- Mobile Docs are available on every ClickUp plan.
- Everyone, including guests, can use mobile Docs in ClickUp 3.0.
- Guests can't create Docs.
Access Docs
Access Docs on the mobile app.
Search all Docs
To search all Docs on mobile:
- From the Navigation toolbar at the bottom of the app, click Search.
- Alternatively, tap Search at the top of the Sidebar.

Under the search bar, tap the Docs filter.
- Type a keyword in the Doc name or content.
Search Docs Home
To find Docs using Docs Home on mobile:
- From the left side of your screen, swipe right to open the Sidebar.
- Tap Docs.
- Select a category:
- All
- Assigned to me
- Shared with me
- Private
- Select a Doc.
Open a Doc view
To open a Doc view on mobile:
- From the left side of your screen, swipe right to open the Sidebar.
- Navigate to Everything, a Space, a Folder, or a List.
- At the top, under the location name, tap the view button.
- Select a Doc view.
Create a Doc
Create new Docs from the mobile app.
Create a new Doc
You can create a new Doc from the Navigation toolbar or Sidebar.
From the Navigation toolbar:
- In the lower-right, tap More.
- Tap New Doc.
- Name the Doc.
- To make the Doc private, tap the Private checkbox.
- Tap Done.
From the Sidebar:
- From the left side of your screen, swipe right to open the Sidebar.
- Tap Docs.
- Select a category:
- All
- Assigned to me
- Shared with me
- Private
- Tap Create new Doc.
- Name the Doc.
- Tap Done.
Create a new Doc in the Sidebar
To create a new Doc and add it to the Sidebar:
- Swipe right from the left side of the screen or tap the Sidebar menu icon to open the Sidebar.
- Open a Space or Folder.
- Tap the + icon next to the Space or Folder name.
- Tap Create a Doc.
- Enter the name of your new Doc.
- Tap Done.
Create a new Doc view
To create a new Doc view:
- Navigate to Everything, a Space, a Folder, or a List.
- Tap the current view displayed under the location name.
- Tap + Add view.
- Select Doc.
- The Doc view is created immediately.
Deleting a Doc view will also delete the Doc. To avoid deleting the Doc, move the Doc's location before deleting the view.
Edit or delete a Doc
To edit a Doc:
- Swipe right from the left side of the screen or tap the Sidebar menu icon to open the Sidebar.
- Tap Docs.
- Tap All or select another category.
- Tap the ellipsis ... menu next to the Doc you want to edit or delete.
- Choose from the options:
- Rename: Rename the Doc.
- Duplicate: Duplicate the Doc.
- Favorite: Add the Doc to your Favorites.
- Move to: Move the Doc to a different location.
- Share: Share an internal link to a Doc or individual page.
- Add to tray: Add the Doc to your Tray.
- Delete: Delete the Doc.
Search for pages
To search for a page within your Doc:
- Open the Doc.
- In the upper-right corner, tap the pages icon.
- Type the name of the page in the search bar.
- Search results filter automatically.
- Tap the page to open it.
Add pages to a Doc
You can add pages and subpages to Docs on mobile.
To add a page to a Doc on mobile:
- Open a Doc.
- In the lower-right corner, tap the edit icon.
- In the upper-right corner, tap the sidebar icon.
- Tap Add Page.
- Name the page.
- Tap Done.
To add a subpage to a Doc on mobile:
- Open a Doc.
- In the upper-right, tap the pages icon.
- Tap the ellipsis ... icon next to a page.
- Tap Add Subpage.
- Name the subpage.
- Tap done on your mobile keyboard.
- The subpage is created immediately.
Open pages
To open a specific page in a Doc:
- Open a Doc.
- In the upper-right, tap the pages icon.
- Tap a page to open it.
Edit, archive, and delete pages
You can edit, archive, and delete pages from the mobile app.
To edit, archive, or delete a page:
- Open a Doc.
- In the upper-right, tap the pages icon.
- Tap the ellipsis ... menu next to a page.
- Choose from the options:
- Rename: Rename the page.
- Share: Share an internal link to the individual page.
- Add Subpage: Add a subpage to page.
- Favorite: Add the page to your Favorites.
- Add to tray: Add the page to your Tray.
- Archive: Archive the page.
- Delete: Delete the page.

Access detailed Docs settings and preferences like creating templates or accessing Doc history on the web and desktop app.
View Doc information
At the top of each Doc, you can see the author and the exact date and time of the latest update.
View, resolve, reply, and react to Doc and page comments
Interact with Doc comments from the mobile app.
To view Doc comments:
- Open a Doc.
- In the upper-right corner, tap the comments icon.
- By default, you will be viewing all open comments. You can filter for comments assigned to you or resolved comments using the filters at the top.
You can resolve comments by tapping the Resolve checkbox.
To reply to a comment:
- Tap the comment to open a thread.
- At the bottom, tap Reply to this thread.
- Type your response and tap the send icon.
To react to a comment:
- Hover over the comment and tap the emoji button.
- Alternatively, tap and hold the comment.
- Tap an emoji to react to the comment.
Share Docs or pages
You can share an internal link to a Doc or individual page. For other people to access the Doc or page, they'll need to join your Workspace and have access to the Doc.
To share a Doc or page:
- You can share a Doc or individual page in two places in the mobile app:
- Navigate to Docs in the Sidebar and tap the ellipsis ... next to the Doc you want to share.
- Open a Doc or page within a Doc and tap the share icon in the upper-right corner.
- Choose what to share:
- To share a link to the Doc, tap Share entire Doc.
- To share a link to an individual page, tap Share this Page.
- Your device's sharing menu will appear. You can:
- Copy the link to your device's clipboard.
- Share the link to other apps.
