Preview tasks, Docs, and comments in Slack

When task, Doc, or comment links are posted in Slack, they'll automatically unfurl in Slack to display helpful details.

View tasks, Docs, and comments in Slack

Different details are displayed for unfurled tasks, Docs, and comments.

If you're not seeing ClickUp items unfurl in Slack, check your Slack settings to ensure link previews are enabled for ClickUp.

Task links

Task links display the following details:

Comment links

Comment links display the following details:

  • Who left the comment.
  • Preview of the comment.
  • The location the comment was posted.

Doc links

Doc links display the following details:

  • The Doc title.
  • Preview of the Doc.
  • The owner of the Doc.

Slack actions

The following actions can be taken in Slack:

  • Add a comment to a task.
  • Edit a task from a task preview.
  • Save a message to your Notepad.
  • Create a task using the /clickup new command or the Create Task action.
