Create Slack Automations to send messages in Slack or trigger Actions in ClickUp.
What you'll need
- You set up the integration with Slack to use Slack Automations.
- The Automation ClickApp must be activated by an owner or admin.
- Automation integrations are available on the Business Plan and above.
- Automation usage varies by plan.
- Guests can't set up Automations.
Create a Slack Automation
To create a Slack Automation, from a List, Folder, or Space:
- Click the Automate button or the lightning bolt icon.
- Click Create Automation.
- Select a Slack Trigger or Action, or choose a Slack Automation template by clicking Slack in the left sidebar.
- Configure your Trigger, Conditions, and Actions.
- Click Create.
Slack Triggers
Each Slack Automation Trigger has different customization options.
Message posted
The following options are available for the Message posted Trigger:

Reaction added

Slack Actions
Each Slack Automation Action has different customization options.
Slack Automations cannot be setup in Chat Channels.
Send channel message
The following options are available for the Send channel message Action:

Send direct message
By default, direct messages sent via Automation are displayed as sent from a bot. You can change this by checking the Send as User? option.
The following options are available for the Send direct message Action:
