Open the customization menu
To customize your Timeline view, open it and click the settings icon in the upper-right corner.
Customization options
The following customization options are available:
- Name: Update the view name.
- Color tasks by: Show tasks in the color of their List, status, Priority, or the color of their value for a dropdown Custom Field.
- Show weekends: Show or hide weekends from the view.
- Show week numbers: Display week numbers for reference.
- Show task locations: Show the Hierarchy location of each task.
- Show subtask parent names: Hide or show parent task names.
- Expand task names: Show the full task names or compress them based on the length of the task on the Timeline.

More options: Open this menu to access additional options:
- Show closed tasks: Hide or show closed tasks.
- Show tasks from other Lists: Hide or show tasks that appear in multiple Lists.
- Show subtasks from other Lists: Hide or show subtasks that appear in multiple Lists.
- Default to Me mode: Display the tasks assigned to the person looking at the Workload view.
- Send notifications: Send notifications to followers when dates change.
- Move view: Remove this view from the current location and save it in another location.
- Duplicate view: Create a duplicate of this view.
- Reset view to defaults: Restore view to default settings.
- Fields: Display fields such as Assignee on task cards.
- Filter: Apply task filters.
- Group: Choose how to group your Timeline view. Groups are represented as rows.
- Subtasks: Show or hide subtasks.
- Templates: Apply, create, or update a template.
- Autosave for me: Automatically save any view changes you make. The changes will be visible to everyone with access to the view.
- Pin view: Pin the view.
- Private view: Make a view private.
- Protect view: Prevent view settings and preferences from being changed.
- Set as default view: Make this a default view for all Workspace members.
