Pinning items to Chat's sidebar is only available in ClickUp 3.0. In ClickUp 4.0, you can add Channels and direct messages to custom sections in your Home Sidebar.

Pin a Channel or direct message

When you pin a Channel or direct message, it will be displayed in the Pinned section in Chat's sidebar.

To pin a Channel or direct message in Chat's sidebar:

  1. In Chat's sidebar, right-click the Channel or direct message.
  2. Select Pin.

When you pin a Channel to Chat's sidebar, it is pinned to your current layout only. Pinned direct messages display in both Chat sidebar layouts.
