Show or hide Channels and direct messages

To choose when Channels and direct messages are shown in a section:

1. In the Sidebar, click Chat.
2. In Chat's sidebar, hover over the section.
3. Click the ellipsis ... icon and select Show and sort.
4. Under show in section, choose one of the options:
   • All: Show all Channels and direct messages in the section.
   • Unread: Only show Channels and direct messages with unread messages in the section.
   • Mentions Only: Only show Channels and direct messages with unread messages mentioning you in the section.

Sort Channels and direct messages

To sort the Channels and direct messages in a section:

1. In the Sidebar, click Chat.
2. In Chat's sidebar, hover over the section.
3. Click the ellipsis ... icon and select Show and sort.
4. Under sort section, choose one of the options:
   • Recents: Show Channels and direct messages with recent activity first.
   • Alphabetically: Show Channels and direct messages in alphabetical order.

Mark all messages as read

To mark all Channels and direct messages in a section as read:

1. In the Sidebar, click Chat.
2. In Chat's sidebar, hover over the section.
3. Click the ellipsis... icon and select Mark all as read.
