Create a custom section

To create a custom section in ClickUp 3.0:

1. Open Chat.
2. In Chat's sidebar, hover over a section and click the ellipsis ... icon.
3. Select Create section.
   
4. Name the section.
   • Optional: Select an icon for the section by clicking the emoji icon.
5. Click Create.
6. To add items to your new custom section, click Add Channels or people under the section header.

What can be added to custom sections?

Only Channels and direct messages can be added to custom sections in ClickUp 3.0.

Remove items from a custom section

To remove an item from a custom section:

1. Under the section header, right-click the item.
2. Hover over Move to section.
3. Click Remove.

Delete a custom section

If you no longer need a custom section, you can delete it. The items in the section will not be deleted.

To delete a custom section:

1. Hover over the section.
2. Click the ellipsis ... icon and select Delete section.
