Cards feature availability and limits

Use dynamic cards to create custom views of your and your team's work and reporting.

Access to cards and canvases by user role

Overviews, Dashboards, and Home are canvases. Add cards to these canvases to create high-level Workspace, team, or personal views. 

The following table shows access to cards and canvases by user role:

  Can guests access, create canvases, or add cards? Can members, owners, and admins access, create canvases, or add cards?
Overviews

Yes. Guests have access to Overviews of Spaces, Folders, or Sprint Folders that have been shared with them. 

No. Guests can't add cards to Overviews. 

Yes. Members owners and admins can access and add cards to Overviews.
Dashboards and Dashboard views

Yes. With view only permissions, guests can access Dashboards that have been shared with them. 

No. Guests can't create or add cards to Dashboards.

Yes. Members, owners, and admins can access all public Dashboards and all private Dashboards that have been shared with them. 

Yes. Members, owners, and admins can add cards to public Dashboards. They can add cards to private Dashboards if they have edit or full permissions.

Home Yes. Guests can access and add cards to Home.  Yes. Members, owners, and admins can access and add cards to Home. 

Card and canvas availability by plan

Some Dashboard and Overview cards are only available on Unlimited plans and up. Others are only available on Business plans and up. Free Forever plans have usage limits on the Dashboard and Overview cards that are available. There are no limits on Home cards.
