If you're experiencing unintended behavior when using the desktop app, resetting the app can help.
Make sure you're using the latest version of our Desktop app!
Reset the desktop app on Mac
- Open a new Finder window.
- Press
Command + Shift + G
. - In the modal, paste in
~/Library/Application Support/
, then click Go.
- Find the folder titled ClickUp and right-click it.
- Select Move to Trash.
- Open the ClickUp desktop app.
Reset the desktop app on Windows
- Uninstall the ClickUp desktop app.
- Once uninstalled, delete the following:
- The %AppData/Roaming/ClickUp folder.
- Anything item with ClickUp in the name.
- Reinstall the desktop application from ClickUp.com/apps.
Hard refresh
Hard refresh to clear your browser's cache. This will load the most recent version of a page.
Check memory usage
If your ClickUp desktop app is crashing, it may be due to high memory usage.
Check memory usage on Mac
To check memory usage on Mac:
- Open the Activity Monitor app.
- Click the Memory tab.
- Check memory usage in the bottom panel.
- If your memory usage is near capacity, close other apps you aren't using.
Check memory usage on Windows
To check memory usage on Windows:
- Open the Task Manager.
- Check memory usage in the Memory column.
- If your memory usage is near capacity, close other apps you aren't using.
