Zoom integration

Integrate Zoom with ClickUp to start or join meetings from tasks! You can also notify assignees and watchers as soon as a meeting begins.

What you'll need

Connect Zoom with ClickUp

To connect your Zoom account to ClickUp:

From the App Center:

  1. Browse All Apps or click on the Communication category in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Zoom.

    Only personal connections are supported.

  3. Click Connect.
  4. Sign in or create a Zoom account.
  5. Review the required permissions to connect ClickUp and Zoom.
  6. Click Allow.

Authorize ClickUp

When authorizing, a popup appears requesting access for ClickUp to do the following:

  • View information associated with you, such as settings, profile information, contact information, and calendars.
  • View information associated with you and others who participate in Zoom experiences with you, including registration information, content, participant profile information, participant contact information, and product usage.
  • Manage information associated with you and others who participate in Zoom experiences with you, including registration information, scheduling information, participants, and content.
  • Enable an in-meeting notification to participants if the app is used to access real-time video, audio, chat, or meeting files.

ClickUp can access and manage this information even when the Zoom app is not in use. This permissions request needs to be accepted to use the Zoom integration.

Start a Zoom meeting in ClickUp

You can start Zoom meetings from tasks or Chat.

Start a meeting from a task

To start a Zoom meeting from a task:
  1. Open the task.
  2. In the comment field, type /zoom.
    • If you've had previous Zoom meetings in this task, you can also start a call from the Zoom panel in the task's right sidebar.
  3. Press Enter on PC or Return on Mac.
  4. The Zoom link will display in the task comment.

When a meeting starts, the link people use to join will be posted automatically as a comment. The Zoom meeting topic is the title of the task the meeting was created from.

If the meeting is recorded by a user with a paid Zoom account, a link to the recording and transcript will post as comments after the meeting ends.

To receive a link to the recording, the cloud recording option must be enabled in the meeting host's Zoom settings.

When a Zoom meeting concludes, you'll see the meeting details in the task Activity section.
