Datadog link previews

When you paste a Datadog link mid-sentence or within existing text, it will display an inline link preview that you can hover over for more details.

When you paste a Datadog link on a new line, you can choose to display it inline, as a live preview, or as a regular URL.

Link previews work in task descriptions, comments, Docs, and Chat messages. To manually change a link preview type, hover over it and click the ellipsis … icon.

For Datadog link previews to work, the application key must include the dashboards_read, monitors_read, and slos_read scopes. Each scope enables link previews for its respective type of data.

Datadog app panel in Task view

After you paste your first Datadog link in a task description or comment, you'll see a new Datadog icon in the right sidebar of your Task view. You can click this icon at any time to see every Datadog link posted in the task.

Previews are grouped by type. You can switch between grid and table layouts using the icons in the upper-right corner.
