Display the amount of time you and your team think each task is going to take.
You can see Time Estimates on individual tasks, while using views, and on a few helpful Dashboard cards.
Widgets were renamed to cards on March 9th, 2023.
What you'll need

Time Estimates are available on all ClickUp plans.
- Owners or admins will need to enable the Time Estimates ClickApp.

Setting Time Estimates per assignee is available on the Business plan and above.

The Time Estimated (legacy) and Time Reporting Dashboard cards are available on our Unlimited Plan and above.

The Billing Report Dashboard card is available on our Business Plan and above.

Individual guests can use Time Estimates if a Workspace owner or admin has given them permission.
View Time Estimates on tasks
You can look at Time Estimates on individual tasks.

Open a task.
-
Click on the estimated time to see the breakdown of Time Estimates per Assignee.

You can add time estimates to the following views. The steps to add or show Time Estimates vary depending on your view.
You can add Time Estimates as a column or field on tasks on the following views:
In List and Table views, you can use Column Calculations to show the sum, average, or range of time estimates for your tasks.
You can display capacity and workload based on time estimates on the following views:
List view
To add Time Estimates as a column to any List view:

Create or open a List view.

Click the + icon to add a column.

Search or scroll and click on Time estimate to add the column.
Calendar view
To show Time Estimates on task cards in any Calendar view:

Create or open a Calendar view.

Click Settings.
-
Scroll down to the Task Card Settings section.

Click the toggle to show Time Estimates on tasks.
Table view
To add Time Estimates as a column to any Table view:

Create or open a Table view.

Click Columns.
-
Search or scroll down to Time estimate.

Click the toggle to add Time Estimates as a column.
Gantt view
To add Time Estimates as a column to any Gantt view:

Create or open a Gantt view.

Click the + icon to add a column.

Click on Time Estimate.
Workload view
You can show and calculate capacity based on Time Estimates and Time Tracked in Workload view.
To display Workload by time:

Create or open a Workload view.

Click on Workload.

Select Time.

Your Workload view will display capacity based on Time Tracked and Time Estimates.
Team view
To can show and calculate workload based on Time Estimates in Team view:

Create or open a Team view.

Click on Workload.
-
Select Time Estimate.

Your Team view will display your workload based on Time Tracked and Time Estimates.
View Time Estimates on Dashboard cards
You can view Time Estimates on the following Time Tracking Dashboard cards available on our paid Plans:

The Time Estimated (legacy) Dashboard card includes any task with a time estimate. The Time Reporting and Billable Report cards will include Time Estimates on tasks that have at least one time entry.
These Dashboard cards do not include Time Estimates Rollup as each task and subtask time entries are shown separately.
You can show Time Estimates when adding a new Dashboard card or updating an existing card.

Open a Dashboard.

Switch to Editing mode.

Add a new card or update an existing Dashboard card:

Click + Add card and select one of the cards listed above or
-
Click on the Settings icon of an existing card.

Click on the toggle to Show Time Estimates.

Click Add card or Save.
-
Your Dashboard card will now include Time Estimates!
