Customize and manage your Docs using Doc settings.
What you'll need
Access Doc settings
You can access Doc settings from several locations in ClickUp.
From a Doc
To access the Doc settings, in the upper-right corner of the Doc:
- Click the ellipsis ... icon.
- Click This page to edit your page settings.
From the pages sidebar
When the pages sidebar is expanded:
- Hover over the Doc title.
- Click the ellipsis ... icon.
From Docs in the Home Sidebar and Spaces Sidebar
The Doc settings menu from the Home Sidebar or Spaces Sidebar includes a limited selection of the available options.
You can access the limited Doc settings menu for Docs added to:
To access the limited Doc settings menu from the Home Sidebar or Spaces Sidebar:
- Hover over a Doc and click the ellipsis ... icon.
- Or, right click on a Doc.
Pages added to favorites or custom sections
For pages added to your favorites or custom sections, you can only:
- Copy link: Copy the link to the page.
- Favorite: Add/Remove the page from your favorites or custom sections.
Doc settings
The following table describes the settings available for each Doc:

Change the name of the Doc. |
Copy link |
Copy the internal link to the Doc to the clipboard. This link will only work for people with access to the Doc in your Workspace. |
Favorite |
Add the Doc to your favorites. |
Move to |
Move your Doc to a task as an attachment, to a Location as a Doc view, or to the Sidebar. |
Duplicate |
Create an identical copy of this Doc in your Workspace. When you duplicate a Doc, page history is not carried over to the new Doc. |
| Import | Import content into a ClickUp Doc. |
| Export | Export the current page or Doc. |
Apply Template |
Find and use a Doc template. |
Save as Template |
Create or update a Doc Template. |
Protect Doc |
Protect the Doc to prevent unwanted edits. |

Public sharing

Enable public sharing of your Doc to generate a unique URL and share content with people outside your organization. |
Mark Doc as wiki |
Verify this Doc as a wiki. A wiki is a Doc that's prioritized as the source of truth. |
Archive |
Archive a Doc. |
Delete |
Send the Doc to the Trash. |
Sharing & Permissions |
Share this Doc with other people or publicly with a link. Set permissions to control who can do what with this Doc and any pages. |
