Folders and Subfolders are part of the ClickUp Hierarchy. Using them is optional, but can be helpful for complex workflows.
Folder and Subfolder availability by plan
Folders and Subfolders are available on all plans.
Folder and Subfolder limits per Space
The following table describes the number of Folders or Subfolders available per Space, by plan:

| Free Forever Plan | 100 total Folders and Subfolders |
| Unlimited Plan | 200 total Folders and Subfolders |
| Business Plan | 400 total Folders and Subfolders |
| Business Plus Plan | 1,000 total Folders and Subfolders |
| Enterprise Plan | 1,000 total Folders and Subfolders |
Archived Folders and Subfolders do not count toward these limits.
List limits per Space
The following table describes the number of Lists available per Space, by plan:

Folder and Subfolder availability by user role
Everyone, including guests, can use Folders and Subfolders. Guests, limited members, and limited members view only must have Folders and Subfolders shared with them.
