Schedule Chat messages

Schedule Chat messages or replies to be sent at a later time.

Scheduling messages is in beta. Pricing and packaging are subject to change.

Need to send a message when you'll be away from your computer? Is your teammate in a different timezone? Schedule the message for later.

Schedule a message

You can schedule any message or threaded reply in Channels and direct messages.

Messages can only be scheduled for 15 or more minutes from the current time.

From any message or threaded reply:

  1. Type your message.
  2. To the right of the send icon, click the dropdown button.
  3. Choose when to send the message:
    • Use natural language processing to select a date and time.
    • Choose one of the preset options.
    • Select a custom date and time using a calendar.

After scheduling the message, you can view it by clicking View message in the confirmation banner.
