Use conditional logic in Forms

On the Business Plus and Enterprise Plans, you can use rules and conditions to add dynamic logic to your Form questions. Logic is used to guide Form submissions and capture more specific information. 

For example, you can create a rule to add a Due Date field in the submission task if Urgent Priority is selected in the Form dropdown.

Question types that support conditional logic

Select one of the following question types to use conditional logic:

  • Assignee
  • Checkbox
  • Dropdown
  • Label
  • People
  • Priority
  • Status

Add conditional logic to a Form

To add conditional logic to a Form:

  1. Click Add question. Select a question type that supports conditional logic. 
  2. In the lower-right corner of the question modal, click Conditional Logic on.

  3. To expand the conditional logic rules, click Rules.
  4. You can add up to 25 rules per field. 
  5. Customize the rule using the dropdown options. 
    • You can create multiple conditions by clicking Add condition.
  6. Add field is the action taken when the rule's If condition is met. For example, if Urgent Priority is selected in the Form dropdown, a Due Date field is added to the submission task. To add a field, click + Add field
    • You can add multiple fields.
