Salesforce integration

Integrate Salesforce with ClickUp to streamline your workflow and boost productivity. Search for and view Salesforce opportunities, contacts, leads, accounts, and more within ClickUp!

What you'll need

Enable the Salesforce integration

Members, admins, and owners can enable the integration using a personal connection. Workspace connections are not available for this integration.

To enable the Salesforce integration:

  1. Open the App Center.
  2. Browse for and select Salesforce.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Log in to your Salesforce account.
  5. Click Allow to grant ClickUp access.

Search Salesforce records using Connected Search

After enabling the Salesforce integration, you can manually enable Personal Connected Search.

Personal Connected Search is available on the Business Plus and Enterprise Plans.

From the App Center:

  1. Search for and select Salesforce.
  2. Click the Personal tab.
  3. Click the toggle next to Personal Connected Search.
  4. Next to your connection, click Reconnect.
  5. Salesforce records will display when searching your Workspace.

The following Salesforce records can be searched:

  • Opportunities
  • Tasks
  • Contacts
  • Leads
  • Accounts
  • Quotes
  • Contracts

Pin Salesforce to Command Center

Filter search results to Salesforce records by pinning Salesforce to Command Center.

Workspace Connected Search is currently not available for Salesforce.

Link previews

When you paste a Salesforce task, opportunity, contact, lead, or account link into ClickUp, you'll see a detailed preview.

Task previews

Task previews include the following information:

  • Name
  • Owner
  • Status
  • Priority
  • Due date

  • Creation date
  • Status
  • Amount

Salesforce app panel in Task view

After you share a Salesforce link in a task comment, description, or Website Custom Field, you'll see a new Salesforce icon in the right sidebar of your Task view. You can click the icon at any time to see every Salesforce link posted in the task.

Previews are grouped by type. You can switch between grid and table layouts using the icons in the upper-right corner.

Use commands to create Salesforce tasks and leads

Use Command Center commands to create new Salesforce tasks or leads directly from ClickUp.

Create a Salesforce task

To create a new Salesforce task from ClickUp:

  1. Open the Command Center:
    • At the top of your Workspace, click Search.
    • Press Cmd + K on Mac or Ctrl + K on Windows.
  2. Type Create New Salesforce Task.
  3. Add task details.
  4. Click Create.

Create a Salesforce lead

To create a new Salesforce lead from ClickUp:

  1. Open the Command Center:
    • At the top of your Workspace, click Search.
    • Press Cmd + K on Mac or Ctrl + K on Windows.
  2. Type Create New Salesforce Lead.
  3. Add task details.
  4. Click Create.

Disconnect the integration with Salesforce

If you no longer wish to use the integration, you can disconnect it.

To disconnect the integration with Salesforce, from the App Center:

  1. Browse for and select Salesforce.
  2. Click the ellipsis ... menu and select Disconnect.

You can add the Salesforce integration back to your Workspace at any time.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Salesforce integration.

Can I customize which Salesforce item fields display in ClickUp?

Customization options are not currently available. You can view tasks, opportunities, contacts, leads, and accounts with predefined fields.

What happens to my data if I disconnect the integration?

Disconnecting the integration does not delete your data from either platform. When you disconnect, you'll lose the ability to view Salesforce link previews in ClickUp.

Can I track changes made through Salesforce in ClickUp?

Yes, changes made in Salesforce are updated in ClickUp link previews, ensuring your data stays synchronized across both platforms.

Can I integrate multiple Salesforce accounts with ClickUp?

No, each ClickUp member can only connect to one Salesforce account at a time using a personal connection.

If only I have Salesforce connected with ClickUp, what will other Workspace members see when I post a Salesforce URL in ClickUp?

Others will see an empty link preview with the option connect Salesforce with ClickUp.
