What you'll need

• 60 Custom Field uses are available on the Free Forever Plan.
• Unlimited uses are available on paid plans.
• Relationships are available on every plan.
• Guests can't create Custom Fields.
• You can't move, merge, or convert Relationship Custom Fields.

Types of Relationship Custom Fields

There are two types of Custom Fields used for Relationships:

• Relationship Custom Field: Create a Custom Relationship between two tasks.
• Tasks Custom Field: Link two tasks.

Other Relationship types can't be created using Custom Fields.

Create a Relationship Custom Field

To create a Relationship Custom Field:

1. When creating a Custom Field, select the Relationship or Tasks field type.
2. Choose the type of Relationship:
   • Any task in your Workspace.
   • Tasks from a specific List.
3. Name the field.
   • Optional: Enable Create rollup fields to create a new field that displays data from related tasks.
4. Customize the field. Details vary by Custom Field type.
5. Click Create.
