You can turn tasks into Milestones to signify a major accomplishment, like releasing a new feature. Use Milestones to organize and track progress on your epics. 

What you'll need

• 20 uses of Milestones are available on the Free Forever Plan.
• Unlimited uses of Milestones are available on all paid plans.

• Guests with edit and full permissions can create Milestones.

Turn a task into a Milestone

Milestones are a custom task type. You can identify Milestones by the diamond icon next to the task name.

To turn a task into a Milestone:

1. From an open task, click the ellipsis ... in the upper-right corner.

   1. Or, from a List, Board, or Calendar view you can click the ellipsis ... to the right of the task name.

2. Select Task Type and choose Milestone.

Identify Milestones in Gantt view

In Gantt view, Milestone tasks are represented by the diamond icon to the left of their names.

Their color varies in Gantt view depending on your color scheme settings.

Filter by Milestones

To see all of your Milestone tasks in one place, you can create a filter to show only Milestones.

To filter a view by Milestone tasks:

1. In the upper-right corner, click Filter to expand grouping and filtering options. At the top of the view, click Filters.
2. From the modal's dropdown, select Task type.
3. Click Select task types.
4. From the dropdown, choose Milestone.
