You can access Automations modal from several locations in ClickUp.

From a List, Folder, or Space

To access the Automations modal from a List, Folder, or Space:

  1. In the upper-right corner, click the Automate button or the lightning bolt icon.
  2. Select from the following options:

From a Chat channel

To access the Automations modal from a Chat channel:

  1. In the upper-right corner, click the Automate button or the lightning bolt icon.
  2. Select from the following options:
    • Create a Chat Automation: Create a new Automation using chat-specific Triggers and Actions, including the following templates:
      • Post a recurring channel message.
      • Send webhooks when messages are posted.
    • Existing Automations: Enable, Disable, or edit existing Automations.
    • Manage Chat Automations: Access the Automations modal to manage your Automations, usage, activity, and webhooks.

From the Home or Spaces Sidebars in ClickUp 4.0

In ClickUp 4.0, you can access the Automations modal from the Home Sidebar and Spaces Sidebar:

From the Home Sidebar or Spaces Sidebar:

  1. Hover over a Space, Folder, or List.
  2. Click the ellipsis ... icon.
  3. Select List settings.
  4. Click Automations.

From the Sidebar in ClickUp 3.0 

To access the Automations modal from the Sidebar:

  1. Hover over a Space, Folder, or List.
  2. Click the ellipsis ... menu.
  3. Click Settings and select Automations.
  4. At the top of the Automations menu, click Active automations.

The number of active Automations is displayed:

  • Next to the Automations option in the Settings menus.
  • Next to Active automations.

From your Workspace settings menu in ClickUp 4.0

To access the Automations modal from Workspaces settings:

  1. In the upper-left corner, click your Workspace avatar.
  2. Select Automations.
