Track Automations activity

Keep track of your Automations activity in the Activity tab of the Automations modal. Automations are not accessible from Everything view

To track your Automations:

  1. In the upper-right corner, click the lightning bolt icon. Then select Manage all automations.
    • From the Sidebar you can also click the ellipsis ... menu, select the Settings tab, then Automations.
    • At the top of the Automations menu, click Active automations.
    • If there are active Automations set up in that location, you'll see a number next to the Automations option in the Settings menus. You'll also see a number next to Active automations.
  2. From the Automations modal, select the Activity tab.
  3. From the Activity page, you can use the following filters:
    • Location: Filter Automations by Workspace location. To see all locations, click the x in the upper-right corner of the Location tab.
    • Status: Filter Automations by those that ran successfully and those that failed to run.
    • Date run: Filter Automations by the date the Automation was run.

Date run

The Date run tab shows the date and time that the Automation ran. To see how long the Automation took to run, click the dropdown to the left of the date.

Automation Rule

The Automation Rule tab shows the Automation's name. To see the Automation Action, click the dropdown to the left of the date. For example, the Automation's name could be When task created, set custom field. The Automation Action could be the name of the Custom Field.

Automation Location

The Automation Location tab shows the Hierarchy location where the Automation was created.

Task

The Task tab shows the task where the Automation fired.

Status

The Status tab shows whether the Automation ran successfully or failed.

When an Automation fails, we take these actions depending on which error caused the failure:

  • If the same Automation fails more than five times in one week with the same error, we deactivate it. An email is sent to the person who created it. If that person is no longer part of the Workspace, we email the Workspace owner.
  • If an email or Custom Field-related error occurs, we email immediately. We deactivate the Automation and test it.

Ellipsis ... menu

Click the Ellipsis ... menu to go to the Automation or report an issue to Support.
