Create a List
You use the Create a List Action in Automations.
For example, when a project proposal task is approved by your steering committee or leadership, you can create a List for the project.
Apply a template
When you use the Create a list Action, you can also apply a template.
- Select the Create a list Action.
- Click the Template dropdown.
- Search or browse the Template Center and select a List template.
- Choose whether or not to remap dates.
- In the lower-right corner, click Create.
Remap dates
When the List template is applied you can:
- Import start and due dates as is: Use the start and due dates saved in the List template.
- Or, Remap dates: Overwrite the start and due dates on tasks.
When you remap dates you can overwrite either the start date or end date of tasks in the List.
You can remap the start or due date based on a date from the task that triggered the Automation.
For example, a task in the List template has a start date of February 1st 2026, and a due date of February 10th 2026.
A new project is approved, and the project request task is closed on March 3rd 2026. That date becomes the start date of the project task.
Remap dates options
You can two additional options when remapping dates.
Skip weekends
Tasks will skip weekends.
Import all tasks as open
If the tasks in the template have various statuses, you can override them so that all tasks use the first not started status, such as Open, or To do.
