Upload a CSV, XLS, or XLSX file to ClickUp Brain when you need exact spreadsheet analysis instead of a quick summary. Brain can calculate totals and trends, clean and transform rows, create charts, and return downloadable files or reports.

Upload a .xls, .xlsx, or .csv file directly into Brain to analyze the data. You can also paste a link to a file, or use Connected Search to find data from other apps.

For example, ask Brain to find your top 10 customers by revenue and chart them, remove duplicate rows and export a cleaned CSV, or calculate exact quarterly revenue totals. Brain computes the numbers from the file rather than estimating them, and you can keep refining the result in the same conversation.

Upload a file

You can analyze a spreadsheet or CSV using Brain by uploading a file from your computer.

To analyze a file from your computer:

1. Open Brain.
2. Click the plus icon.
3. Click Upload files or drag and drop a file into the prompt.
4. Type your prompt.
5. Click the send button.

Use a spreadsheet link

Analyze your spreadsheet by manually pasting a link into Brain.

To paste a link into Brain AI:

1. Open Brain.
2. In the prompt field, paste the spreadsheet link and ask your question.
