Automatically send ClickUp notifications to your Discord channel and customize which notifications you receive.
What you'll need
- The Discord integration is available on every ClickUp plan.
- Only Workspace owners and admins can set up integrations.
- Guests can't use the Make integration.
- You can only integrate ClickUp with one Discord server at a time.
- The ClickUp Discord bot appears offline when not actively creating or updating tasks.
Enable the Discord integration
You can enable the Discord integration from the App Center:
- Click the Quick Action menu in the upper-right corner. Click App Center.
- From the App Center sidebar, select Communication.
- Select Discord.
- Click Manage.
- Click Add to Discord.
- Read through the permissions that will be granted to ClickUp. These permissions must be accepted for the Discord integration to work:
- Access your username, avatar, and banner.
- Know what servers you're in.
- Create commands in a server.
- Choose a Discord server from the dropdown menu.
- Click Continue.
- Grant ClickUp access by clicking Authorize.
Enable Discord notifications
Choose specific Spaces to integrate with Discord.
To enable Discord notifications:
- In the upper-right corner, click the Quick Action Menu next to your avatar.
- Select App Center.
- From the sidebar, click All apps.
- Select Discord.
- Click Manage.
- Click + Add notification.
- Select a Space, Folder or List.
- Select a Discord Channel.
- You can only post in channels that are accessible to the person who set up the Discord. It's not possible to select Announcement channels.
- Click Save.
Tasks in Multiple Lists only create Discord notifications when you include the home List in the selected location.
Customize Discord notifications
To customize which ClickUp notifications are sent to Discord:
- To the right of a Discord notification, click the settings icon.
- Enable or disable the following notifications:
- Task Created
- Status Changed
- New Comment
- New Attachment
- Assignees Changed
- When I am mentioned
- Click Save.
Disable the Discord integration
Only Workspace owners and admins can disable the Discord integration.
To disable the Discord integration:
- In the upper-right corner, click the Quick Action Menu next to your avatar.
- Select App Center.
- From the sidebar, click All apps.
- Select Discord.
- Click Manage.
- In the lower-left, click Remove Discord integration.
