How Brain usage is measured
Brain usage on every plan is measured by your Workspace's premium model allowance, not by a number of uses. Limits apply to your entire Workspace.

Premium and standard models
Standard models work well for everyday writing, summaries, and questions. Premium models are best for complex reasoning, multi-step research, and working through large amounts of context.
Brain can use a premium model automatically, even if you haven't selected one. That usage counts toward your Workspace's premium model allowance. To avoid this, select a standard model in the model picker.

Premium model usage depends on your plan.
Premium model usage on new plans
New plans include the following standard and premium model usage. Premium model usage is relative to the Business Plan:

Premium model usage on existing plans
Workspaces without an AI add-on include trial usage of premium and standard AI models. Workspaces with the Brain AI or Everything AI add-on include premium and standard AI model usage.
When your Workspace uses all of its premium model usage, Brain switches to a standard model and shows when premium models will be available again.
One-time trial allowances do not reset. Recurring and extended usage resets automatically. Upgrading to a higher plan gives you higher premium model limits.
Daily, weekly, and monthly limits
Premium model usage has daily, weekly, and monthly limits. These limits pace your usage so one heavy day doesn't use up your whole month.
To view current brain premium model usage levels, click Analytics in the AI Sidebar and select the Usage tab.
Each limit shows a percentage. The percentage is the share of your Workspace's premium model allowance left for that period. Daily, weekly, and monthly percentages use different allowances and time periods, so they don't add up to one total.
Premium model limit resets
Check the AI usage dashboard for usage and reset times. Daily usage resets at 00:00 UTC. If you reach your weekly limit, the daily reset won't restore premium models. If you reach your monthly limit, daily and weekly resets won't restore premium models.
