How are AI Super credits consumed?

An AI Super Credit is used only when an action occurs. Building a Super Agent does not consume credits. When the Super Agent performs the actions specified in its prompt, those actions consume credits.

AI Super Credit consumption varies by the complexity and number of actions used by the feature, and our Super Fair Billing policy (explained below).
Premium AI features Estimated AI Super Credits consumed
1 use of AI Fields 10
1 use of Create tasks from Chat messages 10
1 use of AI Assign  10
1 use of AI Prioritize 10
1 use of AI cards 20
1 use of AI image generation 100
1 use of Autopilot Agents or Super Agents

100–300

See the tables below for detailed info on how Super Agent actions consume AI Super Credits.

With Super Agents, AI Super Credit consumption varies by the complexity and number of actions the Agent performs. For example, when Super Agents are triggered, they use tools to perform the job they were built to do.

The following tables provide specific examples of the range of actions that consume AI Super Credits when using Super Agents:

Simple Super Agent workflow

Bug Helper Super Agent
When triggered by a Chat message containing a bug report, the simple Super Agent uses these tools:
Action Tools used
Action 1 Retrieve Chat messages: Agent retrieves a Chat message containing a bug report.
Action 2 Tasks and subtasks, create task: Agent creates a task.
Action 3 Load assets and objects: Agent evaluates the bug's priority.
Action 4 Update task: Agent updates the priority field.
Action 5 Reply to thread: Agent replies to the Chat thread to alert you that it has done actions 1–4.

Intermediate Super Agent workflow

Bug Researcher Super Agent
When triggered by a Chat message containing a bug report, the intermediate Super Agent does everything the simple Super Agent does, plus it updates the task's priority field, searches the web and your Workspace for a bug fix, and suggests the bug fix.
The intermediate Super Agent uses these tools:
Action Tools used
Action 1 Agent retrieves a Chat message containing a bug report.
Action 2 Agent creates a task.

ClickUp's Super Fair Billing Policy

When we optimize, you save

We know paying for AI Super Credits is new and sometimes confusing. That's why we're introducing Super Fair Billing. It's our way to keep things transparent and reasonable. Plus, it's designed to save you money.

If there are sudden increases in AI costs from AI model providers (like OpenAI or Anthropic), we subsidize the difference so your credit usage remains steady. That's not all:

  • When we save on AI costs, those savings are passed directly to you.
  • If you exceed your AI Super Credits for any reason, we provide a grace period to keep your teams on track.
  • We use cost-plus pricing, so you’re billed fairly based on the AI Super Credits you use.

We may adjust pricing gradually if AI costs rise, but we'll always communicate changes transparently and with plenty of notice.

If you ever experience unexpected billing issues, our support team is here to help make it right.
