Relate a doc with a task, right from the task. 

You can also relate tasks to Docs from the page of a Doc.

View and add related Docs from a task in ClickUp 4.0 

In ClickUp 4.0, you can view and add related Docs from a task in three places:

• The Relationships section below the task description.
• The Relationships page in the right sidebar.
• The task settings menu.

Relate a Doc from a task in ClickUp 4.0 

To relate a Doc from a task:

1. Access Relationships:
   • Scroll to the relationships section below the task description. Or, click the relationships icon above the task title.
   • In the right sidebar, click the relationships icon.
   • In the upper-right corner, click the ellipsis ... icon and select Relationships.
2. In the upper-right corner, click the plus icon.
3. Click Relate a Task or Doc, then:
   • Search for a Doc.
   • Click the Docs tab to browse recent Docs.
4. If a Doc has already been related to the task:
   1. Hover over the Related Docs section.
   2. Click the plus icon at the top of the section, or Relate Docs below the table.
   3. Search or browse recent Docs.
5. Select a Doc to relate it to the current task.

To add Doc Relationships from a task:

1. From the right side of a task, click the plus icon.
2. Select the Doc.

To see Doc Relationships from a task:

1. From the right side of a task, click the Doc Links.
2. Click to open the Doc.

Want to relate a Doc or page without leaving a task? Our Relationships feature makes it easy to add page links right from a task. 

Using the Create Relationship tab:

1. To the right of the Activity section, click the plus icon.
2. Click Link Doc.
3. Search or browse for a Doc to link.

From the ellipsis ... menu:

1. Open a task.
2. In the top-right, click the ellipsis ... to open the Task settings menu.
3. Select Relationships then click Doc.
4. Search or browse for a Doc to link.
