Open a Channel in ClickUp 4.0

In ClickUp 4.0, there are multiple ways to open a Channel.

From your Home Sidebar 

To open a Channel from your Home Sidebar:

1. In your Global Navigation, click Home.
2. At the bottom of the Channels section in your Home Sidebar, click Add Channel. 
   
3. Type the name of the Channel.
4. Select the Channel to open it.

From its Hierarchy location

You can open location-based Channels from their Hierarchy locations.

To open a Channel from a Space, Folder, or List in ClickUp 4.0:

1. Open any view in the Space, Folder, or List.
2. In the upper-left corner, click Channel.

From the All Channels page

Open a Channel from the All Channels page.

Open a Channel in ClickUp 3.0

In ClickUp 3.0, there are multiple ways to open a Channel.

From Launchpad

To open and follow a Channel from Launchpad:

1. In the Sidebar, click Chat.
2. In the upper-right corner of Chat's sidebar, click the Launchpad icon.
   
3. Type the name of the Channel.
   • Optional: Click the Channels tab to filter results to only Channels.
4. Select the Channel to open it.

From Chat's sidebar

To open a Channel from Chat's sidebar:

1. In the Sidebar, click Chat.
2. At the bottom of the Channels section, click Add Channel.
3. Type the name of the Channel.
4. Select the Channel to open it.

From a Space, Folder, or List

You can open location-based Channels from their Hierarchy locations.

To open a Channel from a Space, Folder, or List in ClickUp 3.0:

1. Open any view in the Space, Folder, or List.
2. In the upper-right corner, click Chat.
3. The Channel will open in a sidebar on the right.

From the All Channels page

Open a Channel from the All Channels page.
