Ask Brain about attached files
You can ask Brain about up to 5 PDFs, XLS, and image files, or 20mb at a time. Brain can also read scanned documents, images, tables, and other non-text content within PDFs.
To ask Brain about a file:

Open Brain from a location overview or the toolbar, and drag and drop a file into the prompt field.
- You can also click the plus icon in the lower-left corner, then select Attach file and select a file from your device.
- Ask Brain about the file. For example: "Does this PDF include a privacy policy?"
- After Brain responds, you have the following choices:
- Copy: Copy the content and manually paste it into another location. You can also manually copy any part of the generated text.
- Create task: Create a task from the generated content.
- Create Doc: Create a Doc from the generated content.
- Retry: Generate slightly different content.
- Like or dislike: Help us improve ClickUp AI by providing feedback.
- Follow ups: Brain suggests possible next steps.
- Tell AI what to do next: Give AI more direction or ask AI something new. For example, you could type: "Does the privacy policy include info about personal data?"
