Workspaces are at the highest level of the ClickUp Hierarchy. Spaces, Folders, Lists, and tasks all live within a Workspace.
You can create or be part of as many Workspaces as you want. You can also easily switch between Workspaces.
Workspaces are independent, so it's not possible to transfer information between separate ones. If you need to view your workflows in one place, we recommend creating one Workspace and using privacy settings as needed.

- Anyone can create a Workspace.
Create a new Workspace
You can create a new Workspace from your Workspace or personal avatar.
To create a Workspace from your Workspace avatar.
- In the upper-left corner, click your Workspace avatar.
- Click + New Workspace.
To create a Workspace from your personal avatar:
- In the upper-right corner, click your personal avatar.
- Select Settings, then Workspaces.
- On the My Workspaces page, scroll to the end of the existing Workspaces.
- Click Add new.
Switch between Workspaces
If you belong to multiple Workspaces, you can switch between them from your Workspace or personal avatar.
To switch between Workspaces from your Workspace avatar:
- In the upper-left corner, click your Workspace avatar.
- In the Switch Workspaces section, select a Workspace.
- Depending on that Workspace's settings, you may be asked to log in with your username and password or via SSO if you haven't already.
To switch Workspaces from your personal avatar:
- In the upper-right corner, click your personal avatar.
- Select Settings.
- In the sidebar, click Workspaces.
- Select a Workspace.
- Depending on that Workspace's settings, you may be required to log in with your username and password or via SSO.
Locate your Workspace ID
Your Workspace ID can be accessed at any time from your URL. The ID is the set of numbers directly following app.clickup.com/
