Create a new Workspace

Workspaces are at the highest level of the ClickUp Hierarchy. Spaces, Folders, Lists, and tasks all live within a Workspace.

You can create or be part of as many Workspaces as you want. You can also easily switch between Workspaces.

Workspaces are independent, so it's not possible to transfer information between separate ones. If you need to view your workflows in one place, we recommend creating one Workspace and using privacy settings as needed.

What you'll need

  • Anyone can create a Workspace.

Create a new Workspace

You can create a new Workspace from your Workspace or account avatar.

To create a Workspace from your Workspace avatar:

  1. Click your Workspace avatar in the upper-left corner.
  2. Click + New Workspace.

 To create a Workspace from your account avatar:

  1. In the upper-right corner click your account avatar.
  2. Select Settings, then Workspaces.

  3.  Click Add new.

Switch between Workspaces

You can switch between Workspaces from your Workspace or account avatar.

To switch between Workspaces from your Workspace avatar:

  1. Click your Workspace avatar in the upper-left corner.
  2. In the Switch Workspaces section, select a Workspace.

To switch between Workspaces from your account avatar:

  1. In the upper-right corner click your account avatar.
  2. Select Settings, then Workspaces.
  3. Select a Workspace.
